Born in Ghent, Belgium. Currently living in Ostend, at the seaside. Completed her Master in Music at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent in 2001 with high distinction. In 2002 she received her Masters in Marketing Management with distinction at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management school. She is currently working as a researcher at the University College Ghent, Faculty of Music, where she pursues her PhD in the arts. Her dissertation subject is sound art. Plays guitar, cello, hammond organ, electronics, analogue synths & theremin. She is active as a musician in various ensembles and has presented several sound works in Belgium and abroad.
Together with Kristof Lauwers & Leen Gijselinck she is working on Whirl Wash, an audiovisual installation around laundry machines (Word document with more info). With Elke Soenens she has a classical guitar duo Saffraan (Word document with more info). She makes poppy music together with Gommaar Delneste (aka Sedarka & Casual Coincidence). In the past she played together with, amongst others, Roel Meelkop, Claus Van Bebber, Noise-Maker's Fifes, Pierre Berthet, Logos Foundation & Black Jackets Company & QO2.
Besides her artistic activities, she worked as president of Cling Film, organising concerts and releasing records of experimental music and curated the yearly Sonokids festival (Happy New Ears)in Kortrijk.
